Happy Holidays and Everyday Miracles

During this special season, I often think of the many everyday miracles that come into my life.. one of which is the mentorship by and the heartwarming friendship of good people

So, I thought I would include for my holiday greetings this year something I wrote awhile ago. See below.

Happy holidays to everyone

Everyday Miracles

Do miracles exist?

Can miracles really happen anywhere, anytime and to anyone?

Do they often happen when you least expect

them?

Are miracles like beautiful butterflies that suddenly appear out of nowhere on a cold, autumn day?

Do miracles become a reality for us when we believe in the power of the mind body, and spirit, and the power of belief in ourselves?

We often hope for miracles of great significance, however, should we not instead be focusing on the small miracles that are born everyday - ones that we simply do not see for our hearts, minds , spirit, and eyes are closed to them.

Remember to always “see “with your heart and spirit, and behold the unobtrusive, but wondrous miracles bestowed upon us each day.

Synchronicity !

Be open to the spirit of creation, and invention. Allow yourself to feel the emotions, feel the splendour of the channelling from the universe and know the desires that are in alignment with universe and the gifts of the essence that is you.

Synchronicity !

You already have all that you need to live a fulfilling life within you.. It is just a matter of channelling the creative energy you own and using the power from within your inner core to do so .

Don't be looking over the rainbow all the time...

Sometimes you can miss too much... You may often miss the best things in life by looking over the rainbow all the time.. Often, what is most beautiful is that which is right in front of you..

Your Serendipity Quotient

Break out of the mold of mediocrity and develop your peripheral vision for job searching and career planning.

One way to do this is by transforming your attitude into action.
There is an old adage that says” Your attitude determines your altitude”.

Become a non-conformist by not using the traditional ways of getting a job. Mass emailing of your resume to companies on Workopolis.ca and Monster.ca is the pathway pursued by most people; and therefore you end up behaving like “ all the other job seekers”.

Prove yourself resourceful by abandoning the so-called“ the right way” approach to job hunting by substituting creative individualized behaviour that brings results!

Don’t pigeon hole yourself with rules.. Take off those tunnel vision glasses you are wearing and throw away “ the only right way” manual of rules!

Be proactive by :
1. Getting rid of your stereotypical thinking and list some alternatives
2. Accessing the risk factors
3. Picking the best bet of these and doing it.

Don’t focus on the words “ what if”, ‘maybe” or “ I’m not sure” .

If your attitude is that you believe you cannot do it, then you become paralyzed by this self-limiting belief; and this belief will be transformed into a sad reality.

Learn to become your own marketing expert. Success in your job searching and career planning is not spotting the latest trends, but is starting them!

You can package an idea and sell it to anyone by believing in yourself and if you can demonstrate that it will work by designing a logical and easy- to- implement plan of action.

Dr. Wayne Dyer refers to this theme in his book “Pulling Your Own Strings” as the creatively alive approach to overcoming adversity. I like to refer to it as cultivating your “Serendipity Quotient” by using adverse circumstances to nurture out-of-the-box thinking.

Dr. Dyer comments ‘Don’t say to yourself that imaginative approaches may be fine for others, but they could never work for you”.

In your unique value proposition, you are succeeding by doing it “ your way” with your unique talents and competencies that can specifically benefit the company/ organization. This is all in part of cultivating your Serendipity Quotient.

Put some effort into having fun by seeing how effective you can truly be!

Stop looking back in the rearview mirror

To continue along the theme of serendipity, I put forth these thoughts of moving outside of our comfort zone.

Yes, we all are tempted to go back to that which we know to be so comfortable .

However, if we are not changing, then we are not growing.

You cannot move forward in your life to achieving your life and career goals if you are constantly looking back in the rearview mirror at your life.

Strive for your goals, but also be open to the possibilities of wonderful opportunities you have never thought of.

Work on developing your peripheral vision and expand your world!

Time in all five of our senses

Time is a sense.. Time in all five senses drives the universe. We, through these five senses, can master the time in our lives. We can empower our lives through this mastery of unquantifiable time .

The stars within us

Look at the person in the mirror.

What do you see? Do you see the past ,present or future?

Are we really a product of our environment as they say we are?

Do we have control over who we are and what we become?

Yes, we have the power to overcome adversity and obstacles by reaching for the shining stars within us, and energizing and illuminating them . In this, we are brightening, motivating and inspiring the world, not only for ourselves, but for so many others .

The reflection we see in the mirror can truly be the kaleidoscope of the stars within if we have the courage to believe.

Inspiration from the movie “Up” and your vision quest

The movie “Up” is for those who hold the spirit of adventure dear… A point of inspiration from which you can “dream your goals.”. It intertwines many diverse meanings in its simplistic, heartfelt and comedic fashion that you cannot help yourself coming away feeling positive about attaining some of those things you thought of, but never dared to do!

We should all start a scrapbook called “Stuff I’ll do” so that we can review our dreams and set out specific plans to fulfill them. Scanned pictures, digital pictures, music cd’s – all of these compilations can be part of this design by making up a collage or digitized collage that magically becomes our creation box – full of the childhood dreams that resurface with a simple pause for back-in-time reflection.

The time to leave old adventures behind and start new ones can be the theme that drives us in our vision quest.

Take life one breath at a time

In all facets of life, keep your expectations within reason. Exceptionally high and unrealistic expectations can create undue stress and strain- physical, emotional, or spiritual on yourself and others.

Instead in the battles of daily stress and life, take it one breath at a time- embrace each moment as an adventure.

Embrace the old adage that things happen for a reason, there are no coincidences in life.

Each incident in life is interwoven in the pattern of destiny.

Heralding the Advent of Spring

Spring is one of my favorite seasons for it is “the greening of the earth” and the time of rejuvenation.

In the spiritual sense, it can be an occasion for renewal of our faith wherein we continue to cultivate a personality of Hope, Faith and Tolerance.

It can be a time to restore our spirit and mind to the rightful place by harnessing the power of our inner strength, the spirit of love within ourselves, others, the world and the universe itself. Spring provides us with the opportunity to re-establish the vital trust of our self and of others, and to extend opportunity to every willing heart of the world.

Spring, in this sense, can be for creating and healing within us, and within the world so that a universal spirit of wholeness and unity is lovingly manifested, not only in thought, but also in deeds.

The year of 2009 and Neverland

When we enter the year of 2009, we can choose to view it as a kind of a “Neverland”, similarly to that found in the movie “ Peter Pan”.

In our “Neverland, we have the opportunity to enjoy the splendors of its imaginative powers and enters it wondrous adventures…anytime we like… simply by believing..

Such a transformation can be created within the pages of your everyday imagination; and it will always be there within our heart and soul to draw upon, when needed and desired…
